Preparation Steps

  3. Remove patties and set aside, keeping drippings in the skillet.
  4. Sauté diced onion and minced garlic in the same skillet for 3 minutes.
  5. Add 1 cup of sliced mushrooms and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
  6. Stir in Worcestershire sauce, beef broth, and 1 cup of water; bring to a simmer for 5 minutes.
  7. Transfer browned patties to a slow cooker; pour gravy mixture over the top.
  8. Cover slow cooker and cook on low for 6-7 hours.
  9. Mix cornstarch with cold water to form a slurry; stir into the slow cooker and cook for an additional 30 minutes.
