Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Combine the chicken drumsticks with balsamic vinegar, soy sauce, sugar, minced garlic, chopped chili pepper, and water in a medium saucepan.
  2. Bring the mixture to a vigorous boil over high heat for about 5 minutes.
  3. Reduce the heat to low, cover, and let it simmer for 20 minutes.
  4. Increase the heat to medium-high, uncover, and reduce the liquid while basting the drumsticks for about 10 minutes.
  5. Once the glaze is thickened, remove from heat, transfer to a platter, discard garlic and chili pieces, and drizzle remaining glaze over drumsticks before serving.
