Preparation Steps
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Gather all your ingredients.
- In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until fully browned. Drain excess fat.
- Sauté chopped onions and minced garlic in the same skillet until onions are translucent.
- Mix cooked rice and tomato sauce into the skillet with beef and veggies. Season with spices to taste.
- Prepare bell peppers by slicing off tops and removing seeds. Place in a baking dish.
- Stuff each bell pepper with the beef mixture, packing it lightly.
- Cover with foil and bake for 25–30 minutes until peppers are tender.
- In the last 10 minutes of baking, optionally add shredded cheese and bake uncovered.
- Remove from oven, cool for 5 minutes, and carve jack-o'-lantern faces on each pepper.
