Ingredients

  • 1 pound chicken tenders
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper adjust for spice preference
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs preferably panko for extra crunch
  • 1/2 cup buffalo sauce
  • Cooking spray

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and lightly spray it with cooking spray.
  2. In a large bowl, combine buttermilk, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper. Add the chicken tenders to the bowl and ensure they are fully coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to marinate.
  3. In a separate bowl, place the breadcrumbs. Remove the chicken from the marinade, allowing excess to drip off, then dredge each tender in the breadcrumbs, pressing gently to adhere.
  4. Arrange the coated chicken tenders on the prepared baking sheet. Lightly spray the tops with cooking spray for extra crispiness.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the coating is golden brown.
  6. In the last 5 minutes of baking, brush the chicken tenders with buffalo sauce for added flavor.
  7. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
