Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon gochujang Korean chili paste
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup green onions chopped
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 4 cups cooked white rice

Method
 

  1. In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the minced garlic and ginger, sautéing for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  2. Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook until browned and fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, brown sugar, gochujang, sesame oil, and black pepper. Pour this sauce over the cooked beef in the skillet. Stir well to combine and let it simmer for another 2-3 minutes.
  4. Remove the skillet from heat and stir in the chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
  5. Serve the spicy Korean ground beef over cooked white rice.
