Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your kitchen and prepare a parchment-lined baking sheet. Slice each Medjool date lengthwise to remove the pit and lay them flat on the baking sheet.
Smashing
  1. Using a fork or your hands, press down on each date until flattened to about half a centimeter thick.
Spreading
  1. Spread an even layer of peanut butter over each smashed date, allowing it to soak slightly while you work.
Drizzling
  1. Melt the chocolate chips in the microwave in 30-second intervals until smooth. Drizzle over each peanut butter-covered date.
Chilling
  1. Place the baking sheet in the refrigerator and chill for at least 15-20 minutes until the chocolate sets.
Finishing Touch
  1. Sprinkle a dash of flaky salt over each date just before serving and enjoy!
