Preparation
- Preheat your kitchen and prepare a parchment-lined baking sheet. Slice each Medjool date lengthwise to remove the pit and lay them flat on the baking sheet.
Smashing
- Using a fork or your hands, press down on each date until flattened to about half a centimeter thick.
Spreading
- Spread an even layer of peanut butter over each smashed date, allowing it to soak slightly while you work.
Drizzling
- Melt the chocolate chips in the microwave in 30-second intervals until smooth. Drizzle over each peanut butter-covered date.
Chilling
- Place the baking sheet in the refrigerator and chill for at least 15-20 minutes until the chocolate sets.
Finishing Touch
- Sprinkle a dash of flaky salt over each date just before serving and enjoy!
