Cooking Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 275°F (135°C) and place an oven-safe broiler pan on the rack.
- In a small mixing bowl, combine jalapeño powder, garlic powder, and cumin to create a flavor-packed spice blend.
- Generously season T-Bone steaks with sea salt and coat thoroughly with the spice blend, pressing the spices into the meat.
- Place the seasoned steaks into the preheated broiler pan and allow them to cook until they reach an internal temperature of 125°F, about 45–60 minutes.
- Remove the steaks from the oven and cover loosely with foil. Rest for 10 minutes to allow juices to redistribute.
- Heat a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat and melt butter. Sear each side of the T-Bone steaks for 1 minute until caramelized.
- Remove steaks from the skillet, cover with foil, and let rest for additional few minutes, bringing internal temperature to about 145°F.
- Slice against the grain on a cutting board and serve immediately, optionally squeezing fresh lime over the top.
