Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once shimmering, add 1 diced onion and sauté for 3-4 minutes until translucent.
  2. Incorporate 3 minced garlic cloves into the skillet, stirring for 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Increase heat to medium-high and add 1 pound of ground beef. Cook for 5-7 minutes, breaking apart until browned.
  4. Stir in 1 pound of Brussels sprouts, 1 teaspoon of salt, ½ teaspoon of black pepper, 1 teaspoon of smoked paprika, 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce, and ½ cup of beef broth.
  5. Cover the skillet and reduce the heat to medium. Let simmer for 8-10 minutes until Brussels sprouts are tender.
  6. Optional: Sprinkle in a pinch of red pepper flakes and stir, cooking for an additional 1-2 minutes.
