Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 baking dish.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain excess grease and season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine uncooked rice, French onion soup mix, and beef broth. Stir and fold in the cooked beef and sour cream until well combined.
  4. Spread the beef and rice mixture into the greased baking dish and top with shredded cheese.
  5. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 40 minutes.
  6. Uncover and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until cheese is bubbly and lightly browned.
  7. Sprinkle French-fried onions on top and return to the oven for another 5 minutes until golden.
  8. Let cool for 5 minutes, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve.
