Preparation Steps
  1. In a small saucepan, combine honey, hot sauce, unsalted butter, apple cider vinegar, and red pepper flakes. Heat until smooth, about 3-5 minutes.
  2. Rinse the shrimp under cold water and pat dry with paper towels.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together flour, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper.
  4. In another bowl, beat together the eggs and milk.
  5. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat until 350°F (175°C).
  6. Dredge shrimp in the flour mixture, then dip in the egg wash, and return to the flour for a second coating.
  7. Fry shrimp in batches for 2-3 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
  8. Toss the fried shrimp with the hot honey sauce in a large bowl.
  9. Serve immediately on a platter with extra sauce for dipping.
