Ingredients
  

  • 8 ounces pasta penne or fusilli
  • 1 can 15 ounces tuna in water, drained
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes halved
  • 1/2 cup pesto sauce
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish optional

Method
 

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the drained tuna, cherry tomatoes, pesto sauce, and olive oil. Mix well to combine.
  3. Add the cooked pasta to the bowl and toss everything together until the pasta is well coated with the pesto mixture.
  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste. If desired, add more pesto for extra flavor.
  5. Serve immediately, garnished with grated Parmesan cheese and fresh basil leaves if using.
