- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat, around 400°F (200°C), and lightly oil the grates.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine lean ground beef, finely chopped onion, crushed Saltine crackers, lightly beaten egg, and ranch dressing mix. Mix until just combined.
- Divide the mixture into eight portions and shape each into a ¾ inch thick patty with a slight indentation in the center.
- Place patties on the grill and cook for about 5 minutes on one side, then flip and grill for an additional 5 minutes. Ensure internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
- Remove patties from the grill and let rest for a couple of minutes. Place on burger buns and add toppings as desired.
