Method
 

Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare three round cake pans by greasing them.
  2. Whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a large mixing bowl.
  3. Beat softened butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy, then add eggs and vanilla.
  4. Gradually mix in dry ingredients alternately with buttermilk until smooth.
  5. Divide batter among cake pans and bake for 25-30 minutes.
  6. Combine flour, brown sugar, and cinnamon in a bowl, cut in butter, bake for 12-15 minutes.
  7. Mix cream cheese and butter, add sifted powdered sugar, adjust with heavy cream.
  8. Heat sugar in a saucepan until amber, add butter and heavy cream, stir until smooth.
  9. Assemble layers with cream cheese filling, streusel, and top with caramel sauce.
