  • 2 cups Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips can swap for dark or milk chocolate

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat together the unsalted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy (3-4 minutes).
  4. Add the egg and vanilla extract to the mixture, and mix on low speed until just combined.
  5. Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Gently fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips using a spatula.
  7. Scoop the dough into 1.5-inch balls and place them 2 inches apart on the baking sheet.
  8. Bake the cookies for about 10 minutes until the edges are golden and centers look slightly underdone.
  9. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for 1-2 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.
  10. Let the cookies cool completely on the rack for 3-4 hours for the best flavor.
