Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Crumble the amaretti biscuits and Madeira loaf cake into a large mixing bowl. Divide among 8 small serving glasses for a satisfying base.
  2. Halve the cherries and layer them atop the biscuit mixture. Add a spoonful of cherry compote to cover the cherries.
  3. Whisk together the custard and double cream until fluffy and combined. Dollop the cream mixture over the cherries and biscuits.
