Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with aluminum foil. Place a wire rack on top of the baking sheet for crispier wings.
In a large bowl, combine the chicken wings, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Toss until the wings are evenly coated.
Arrange the seasoned wings in a single layer on the wire rack. Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, turning halfway through, until the wings are golden brown and crispy.
While the wings are baking, prepare the sauce. In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine honey, lemon juice, lemon zest, olive oil, and crushed red pepper flakes (if using). Stir until the mixture is well combined and heated through, about 5 minutes.
Once the wings are done baking, remove them from the oven and transfer them to a large bowl. Pour the honey lemon sauce over the wings and toss until they are fully coated.
