Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350º F (175º C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine cold butter, flour, brown sugar, granulated sugar, and cinnamon to make crumb topping.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  4. In a stand mixer, cream together softened butter and sugars until fluffy. Add eggs, vanilla, and mashed bananas.
  5. Alternate adding the flour mixture and milk to the banana batter until just combined.
  6. Pour half the batter into the baking dish, add crumb topping, layer with remaining batter and top with the rest of the crumb.
  7. Bake for 50–55 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Prepare the optional glaze by mixing powdered sugar with milk to a pourable consistency.
  9. Let the cake cool for 5-10 minutes before slicing. Drizzle glaze and serve.
