- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cream together 1 cup of softened salted butter with ¾ cup granulated sugar and ¾ cup brown sugar using an electric mixer for about 2-3 minutes.
- Mix in 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract and 2 large eggs, one at a time, and beat until smooth.
- Gradually sift in 2 ¼ cups of all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon of baking soda, and ½ teaspoon of salt; stir gently.
- Fold in 2 cups of Ghirardelli chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
- Portion out 1.5 tablespoons of dough using a cookie scoop and place them about 2 inches apart on the baking sheet.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes until the edges are golden brown and the centers are slightly soft.
- Cool the cookies on the pan for about 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
