Ingredients

  • 1 package 15.25 oz Oreo cookies, crushed
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 16 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups whipped topping like Cool Whip
  • 1 cup red white, and blue sprinkles
  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips optional

Method

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the crushed Oreo cookies and melted butter. Mix until the crumbs are evenly coated. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9x13-inch baking dish to form the crust. Chill in the refrigerator for 10 minutes.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy. Gradually add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  3. Gently fold in the whipped topping until fully incorporated, being careful not to deflate the mixture.
  4. Pour the cheesecake mixture over the chilled Oreo crust and spread it evenly. Sprinkle the red, white, and blue sprinkles and mini chocolate chips on top.
  5. Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until set. For best results, chill overnight.
  6. Once set, cut into bars and serve chilled.
