  • 1 teaspoon Fresh Ginger Grated
For the Heat and Garnish
  • 1 piece Red Chili Sliced, adjust for heat preference
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Cilantro Chopped, can substitute with Thai basil or mint

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Rinse the white fish fillets under cold water, then pat them dry with paper towels.
  2. In a medium-sized bowl, combine lime juice, lime zest, minced garlic, fish sauce, soy sauce, granulated sugar, and grated ginger. Whisk together.
  3. Place the fish fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Cover and let marinate in the refrigerator for 15 to 20 minutes.
  4. Transfer the fish and marinade into a steaming dish and top with sliced red chili and half of the fresh cilantro.
  5. Preheat the steamer and steam the fish for 10 to 12 minutes until opaque.
  6. Remove from heat and sprinkle the remaining cilantro over the top before serving.
