Ingredients

For the Cake
  • 2 cups All-Purpose Flour Essential for structure; using high-quality flour ensures the best results.
  • 2 tsp Baking Powder A leavening agent needed for a perfect rise; double-check freshness for optimal outcomes.
  • 1 tsp Baking Soda Provides additional leavening to help the cake rise beautifully.
  • 1 tsp Ground Cinnamon Adds warmth and flavor; feel free to adjust based on your taste preference.
  • 0.5 tsp Salt Enhances all flavors; a small yet vital ingredient for balance.
  • 1.5 cups Granulated Sugar Provides sweetness and moisture retention to keep the cake divine.
  • 3 large Eggs Bind ingredients and add moisture; opt for large eggs for the best results.
  • 1 cup Vegetable Oil Keeps the cake moist and tender; can be swapped with unsweetened applesauce for a lighter option.
  • 2 tsp Vanilla Extract Infuses a pleasant flavor; it elevates the overall taste beautifully.
  • 2 cups Grated Carrots The primary flavor and texture; freshly grated gives the best moisture content.
  • 1 cup Crushed Pineapple Adds sweetness and moisture; try using finely diced fresh pineapple or unsweetened applesauce as a substitute.
  • 0.5 cup Chopped Walnuts (Optional) Adds texture and crunch; pecans are a great alternative if desired.
For the Frosting
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese The base for frosting; must be softened for easy blending.
  • 0.5 cup Unsalted Butter Contributes creaminess and flavor; also needs to be softened for the best consistency.
  • 4 cups Powdered Sugar Sweetens the frosting; adjust the amount to reach your desired sweetness level.
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract (Frosting) Enhances flavor; consider using clear vanilla for a more visually appealing frosting.
