Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Start by washing and chopping 4 cups of cabbage, slicing 1 cup of shiitake mushrooms, and chopping 2 green onions. Mince 3 cloves of garlic and a 1-inch piece of fresh ginger.
  2. In a large pan or wok, heat 1 tablespoon of sesame oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add 1 pound of ground beef and cook for about 5 minutes, breaking it apart until it is browned.
  3. Stir in the minced garlic and ginger, cooking for 1 additional minute until fragrant.
  4. Add the chopped cabbage and shiitake mushrooms to the pan. Cook for about 3 to 5 minutes until the cabbage is tender yet still crisp.
  5. Pour in the soy sauce and drizzle with more sesame oil if desired. Stir and cook for another 2 minutes.
