Cookie Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare your baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat together the softened butter and creamy peanut butter until smooth and well combined.
- Gradually add in the granulated sugar and brown sugar along with the vanilla extract, mixing until light and fluffy.
- Slowly add the all-purpose flour and salt to the wet mixture, stirring gently until a cohesive dough forms.
- Shape the dough into approximately 12 large balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until the edges turn golden brown and centers remain slightly soft.
- After baking, let cool for about 5 minutes; then press down in the center of each cookie to create indentations.
- Melt chocolate chips in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
- Fill the indentations of each cookie with melted chocolate, allowing to cool and set before serving.
