Ingredients

  • 3 pounds chicken wings thawed
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup buffalo sauce
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter melted
  • 1 tablespoon honey optional
  • Fresh celery sticks and carrot sticks for serving
  • Blue cheese or ranch dressing for dipping

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a large baking sheet with aluminum foil. Place a wire rack on top of the baking sheet.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the chicken wings, olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Toss until the wings are evenly coated.
  3. Arrange the seasoned chicken wings in a single layer on the wire rack. This will help them crisp up while roasting.
  4. Roast the wings in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, flipping them halfway through, until they are golden brown and crispy.
  5. While the wings are roasting, mix the buffalo sauce, melted butter, and honey (if using) in a separate bowl.
  6. Once the wings are done, remove them from the oven and toss them in the buffalo sauce mixture until well coated.
  7. Return the sauced wings to the oven and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes to set the sauce.
  8. Serve hot with celery sticks, carrot sticks, and your choice of blue cheese or ranch dressing for dipping.
