Ingredients

  • 3 pounds chicken drumsticks
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup hot sauce like Frank's RedHot
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1/4 cup blue cheese crumbled
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a wire rack on top.
  2. In a large bowl, combine garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Add the chicken drumsticks and toss until they are evenly coated.
  3. Arrange the seasoned drumsticks on the wire rack in a single layer. Bake for 30 minutes.
  4. While the drumsticks are baking, prepare the blue cheese yogurt dip by mixing Greek yogurt, crumbled blue cheese, lemon juice, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a medium bowl.
  5. After 30 minutes, remove the drumsticks from the oven and brush them with the melted butter mixed with hot sauce. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes.
  6. Once done, let the drumsticks rest for a few minutes before serving. Serve with the creamy blue cheese yogurt dip on the side.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add more hot sauce to the butter mixture.
  • You can substitute blue cheese with feta cheese for a different flavor profile.
  • For a healthier option, try baking the drumsticks without the butter and using a light hot sauce.
