Ingredients

  • 2 pounds chicken wings thawed
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 cup buffalo sauce
  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper optional, for extra heat
  • Fresh parsley chopped (for garnish)

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with aluminum foil. Place a wire rack on top of the baking sheet.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the chicken wings, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika. Toss until the wings are evenly coated with the spices.
  3. Arrange the seasoned wings in a single layer on the wire rack. Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until the wings are crispy and golden brown, flipping them halfway through.
  4. While the wings are baking, prepare the glaze. In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the buffalo sauce, barbecue sauce, olive oil, honey, apple cider vinegar, and cayenne pepper (if using). Stir until well mixed and bring to a simmer. Reduce heat to low and let it simmer for about 5 minutes.
  5. Once the wings are done baking, remove them from the oven and toss them in the prepared glaze until well coated. Return the glazed wings to the oven and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes to set the glaze.
  6. Remove the wings from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, you can broil the wings for an additional 2-3 minutes after glazing.
  • For a milder flavor, substitute half of the buffalo sauce with additional barbecue sauce.
