Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups fresh spinach
  • 1 ripe banana
  • 1 cup frozen blueberries
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk or any milk of your choice
  • 1 tablespoon almond butter or peanut butter
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup optional
  • 1 teaspoon chia seeds optional
  • Ice cubes optional, for a thicker texture

Method
 

  1. In a blender, combine the spinach, banana, frozen blueberries, almond milk, almond butter, and honey or maple syrup if using.
  2. Blend on high until smooth and creamy, about 30-60 seconds.
  3. If you prefer a thicker smoothie, add a few ice cubes and blend again until desired consistency is reached.
  4. Taste and adjust sweetness if necessary by adding more honey or maple syrup.
  5. Pour into glasses and sprinkle with chia seeds if desired. Serve immediately.
