Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 2 cups almond milk or any milk of choice
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoons peanut butter
  • 1 scoop chocolate protein powder
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup optional, for sweetness
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Toppings: sliced banana chopped nuts, or chocolate chips (optional)

Method
 

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine the rolled oats, almond milk, cocoa powder, and salt. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
  2. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring frequently until the oats are cooked and creamy.
  3. Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the peanut butter, chocolate protein powder, honey or maple syrup (if using), and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. Let the mixture sit for a minute to thicken slightly.
  5. Serve warm in bowls and top with your choice of sliced banana, chopped nuts, or chocolate chips.
