Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup frozen mixed berries
  • 1 ripe banana sliced
  • 1 cup spinach fresh or frozen
  • 1 cup almond milk or any milk of your choice
  • 1 tablespoon almond butter or peanut butter
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup optional
  • 1 teaspoon chia seeds optional
  • Ice cubes optional, for a thicker smoothie

Method
 

  1. In a blender, combine the frozen mixed berries, sliced banana, and spinach.
  2. Pour in the almond milk and add the almond butter. If you like your smoothie sweeter, add honey or maple syrup.
  3. Add chia seeds if using, and blend on high until smooth and creamy. If you prefer a thicker texture, add a few ice cubes and blend again.
  4. Taste the smoothie and adjust sweetness if necessary. Blend again briefly if you add anything.
  5. Pour into glasses and enjoy immediately.
