  • 1/2 cup red onion or green onions for milder taste
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley or cilantro as an alternative

  1. Cook pasta by bringing a pot of salted water to a boil, adding elbow pasta, and cooking for 8-10 minutes until al dente. Drain and rinse with cold water.
  2. Cook bacon in a skillet with olive oil over medium heat for 7-10 minutes until crispy. Drain and crumble once cooled.
