In a large bowl, combine the tater tots, diced ham, and shredded cheddar cheese. Mix well and set aside.
In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
Unroll the crescent roll dough and arrange the triangles in a circle on a baking sheet, overlapping the wide ends and leaving the pointed ends hanging over the edge.
Spoon the tater tot mixture onto the wide part of the crescent dough in the center.
Pour the egg mixture evenly over the tater tot mixture.
Fold the pointed ends of the crescent dough over the filling to create a ring, pinching the seams to seal.
Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the dough is golden brown and the egg is set.
Let cool for a few minutes before slicing. Garnish with chopped chives if desired.
