Ingredients
Scale
- 8 ounces spaghetti or rice noodles
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 cup shredded lettuce (such as romaine or iceberg)
- 2 green onions, sliced
- Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Cook the spaghetti or rice noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes, sautéing for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Stir in the soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, and sesame oil. Cook for an additional 2 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.
- Add the cooked noodles to the skillet, tossing to coat them evenly in the sauce. Cook for another 2-3 minutes, stirring frequently.
- Remove from heat and fold in the shredded lettuce and sliced green onions.
- Serve hot, garnished with sesame seeds if desired.
Notes
- For added protein, consider adding cooked chicken, shrimp, or tofu to the noodles.
- To make it vegetarian, substitute honey with maple syrup or agave nectar.
- Adjust the spice level by adding more or less red pepper flakes based on your preference.
