Description
Smoky Grilled Chicken Breasts with Sweet Barbecue Glaze elevate your grilling game!
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup barbecue sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
- In a small bowl, mix together the smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Rub this spice mixture evenly over the chicken breasts.
- In another bowl, combine the barbecue sauce, honey, apple cider vinegar, and olive oil. Stir until well blended. Reserve half of this mixture for basting and serving.
- Place the seasoned chicken breasts on the grill. Cook for about 6-7 minutes on one side.
- Flip the chicken breasts and brush the top with the reserved barbecue glaze. Grill for an additional 6-7 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
- Remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing. Serve with the remaining barbecue glaze on the side.
Notes
- For added flavor, marinate the chicken in the spice mixture and barbecue sauce for at least 30 minutes before grilling.
- You can also substitute the chicken breasts with thighs for a juicier option.
- For a smoky flavor without a grill, cook the chicken in a cast-iron skillet over medium heat, adding a few drops of liquid smoke to the barbecue glaze.
