Description

Oreo Truffle Bites are deliciously rich and easy-to-make treats that combine crushed Oreo cookies and cream cheese, coated in chocolate.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package (15.35 oz) Oreo cookies
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 8 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil (optional)
  • Sprinkles or crushed Oreos for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a food processor, crush the Oreo cookies into fine crumbs.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the crushed Oreos with the softened cream cheese. Mix until well combined and smooth.
  3. Use your hands to form the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter, and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Freeze the balls for about 30 minutes, or until firm.
  5. While the truffles are chilling, melt the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until smooth. If desired, stir in the vegetable oil to thin the chocolate.
  6. Dip each chilled Oreo ball into the melted chocolate, using a fork to coat evenly. Allow excess chocolate to drip off before placing them back on the parchment-lined baking sheet.
  7. If desired, sprinkle with crushed Oreos or sprinkles before the chocolate sets.
  8. Refrigerate the truffles for at least 30 minutes to allow the chocolate to harden.

Notes

  • For a different flavor, try using flavored cream cheese, such as vanilla or chocolate.
  • You can substitute white chocolate for semi-sweet chocolate for a sweeter taste and a different look.
