Description

A delicious and healthy recipe for glazed teriyaki salmon served with sautéed sesame pak choi.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 salmon fillets (6 ounces each)
  • 1/4 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cups pak choi, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Green onions, sliced for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix together the teriyaki sauce and honey. Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish and pour the teriyaki mixture over them. Marinate for at least 15 minutes, turning occasionally.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Remove the salmon from the marinade (reserve the marinade) and place the fillets in the skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add sesame oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Add the chopped pak choi to the skillet and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until tender. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. While the pak choi is cooking, pour the reserved teriyaki marinade into a small saucepan and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  6. Serve the salmon over the sautéed pak choi, drizzled with the thickened teriyaki glaze. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and garnish with sliced green onions.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add a teaspoon of sriracha to the teriyaki marinade.
  • Substitute the salmon with chicken breast or tofu for a different protein option.
